When Jesus Christ was crucified on the Calvary Cross at Golgotha we also died with Him. He died for us when were sinners and ungodly.( Romans 5 : 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ) Jesus knew that He was not offering His life as a pleasing sacrifice to the Father in vanity. Jesus knew that His death would accomplish what They were set out to do and that was to save all humanity from themselves from the devil from the world and ultimately save humanity from perishing and going to hell for all eternity. So when we became Christians we put off our old selves and put on a new self. ( Colossians 3:9-10 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him ) This is why we are called a new creation as the bible quotes. ( Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. )So now Jesus lives through by His Holy Spirit.. Now that we are Children of God we are hidden with Christ in God the Father. and because we are in God with Christ we are also sitting in the Heavenly Realms with the Lord God. Jesus died to give us our rights as citizens in Heaven, Gods Kingdom..
