If we recieve a Word of Prophecy or a Word of Wisdom and Knowledge from the Lord you can expect it to come to pass and be true, in some cases though we may not see it come to pass and be fruitful in our lifetime but be assured it will happen as God has said. Look at Abraham he was promised that he would be a father of many nations but he had not yet even had a child of his own he did not know how this was going to happen and he doubted..A year or so later Sarah and Abraham brought forth fruit from their body ( they were both close to 100 years old ) and had a child and they named their only boy child , Isaac. This child was also promised by the Lord but it is true Abraham and Sarah doubted Gods Promise and they took it into their own hands and agreed that Abraham would lay with Hagar the maid to bring forth a child that they were waiting for. When God gives us a promise it is always His Way His Timing. Have faith and trust in God's Providence.. I believe after Isaac was born , Abraham knew that God was a God of His Word and Promise Abraham had grown in trusting the Lord for His Words to come to fruition. Abraham was again tested in believing God for His Providence and Promise to come to pass. Such is a great example of obedience being blessed is when Abraham was going to slay his boy child, Isaac on the alter but God at the very last moment said " NO  don't do it Abraham"  so Abraham untied Isaac from the ropes that bound him for sacrifice and instead a ram was provided in Isaacs place... God was never going to allow Abraham to kill his only son but God allowed this to happen to show that we can truly trust the Lord in all things no matter what , that He will deliver us from situation that seems a dead end. Also Abraham and Isaac are a shadow of what was to come in the centuries ahead it was that The Father God was going to sacrifice His One and Only Son Jesus Christ.. You will see through out the Old Testament prophecies and shadows of what is to come in Jesus' Day and thereon.
